Congratulations! You made it through another week! And so did I!
My sad news of the week is my husband hurt his knee and so I'll be running the Insane Inflatable 5K all alone. I feel bad, because the only reason he was running it was so I wouldn't be by myself. He hates running. Unfortunately, they don't offer refunds, and there isn't anyone to transfer his registration to, so he'll be getting an expensive t-shirt.

A feel-good pun:
This weekend I am taking Boys 1 and 2 to stay with my mother for several weeks. They're already out of school and I still have two weeks. People keep telling me I'll enjoy myself, but I'm not so sure. I like having them around and get anxious when I'm not near them. I guess I'll need to meditate a lot. And write a lot to distract myself.
My favorite this week is the dog with the bone.

ReplyDeleteI've found this with my kids, and missing them. If I'm away somewhere and they are home, I don't miss them. But if I'm home and they are gone somewhere else for more than a day, then yeah. It just feels wrong being so quiet. Then I start thinking about what we'd be doing if they were home and I'd miss them more.
