Happy Friday to all!
I'm afraid to admit this, since I've started the Mindfulness posts, but lately this is what my life seems to be like:
This also goes with asking questions of people, and having to ask them to repeat their answers because I'm distracted. I'm definitely trying to do too many things at once. Anyone else relate?
Another thing I learned this week is:
How do you even use filters? Do you have to be on Instagram only? It seems like too much trouble, to me. If you don't like the photo, then don't post it.
Last week's favorite photo was:
A three way tie between the lightbulb cat, the dog in a box, and hokey-pokey cat--so no favorite pic of the week today!
New photos below!
I love the little cape! |
Nopen = not open? |
A pun or two for the road?
My favorite is the ballet dog.
What was your favorite this week?
I do that checking and asking thing all the time. I'll go with the cool brownies...simple but funny.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Joe!
DeleteSo far my husband and kids have been pretty tolerant of my distracted ways, thank goodness! They are starting to look at me a little funny, though. Maybe I'll be less scattered in Summer when I'm on summer break. Less stress and all that!
The ballet dog is pretty funny. Yeah I vote for him (although the parking goat and couch dog are pretty great too). You know what? I see NOPE NOPE NOPE automatically. I can make myself see NO PEN but then the sequence breaks down and overlaps and that's not as satisfying to my butterfly brain as NOPE. Hope your weekend is lovely and the weather is warming up for spring Lara. :D
ReplyDeleteFor a while I couldn't see "Open" at all. I was like "What the heck is it? Why is it funny?" Once I realized what they did I could see the signs but it took some work, and I still NOPE first. :)
DeleteWe actually finally got winter this last week! It's typical, though, to get our snow in March/April, so I guess there's nothing to complain about! Are you in Canada now, or in England?
Don't know if you've changed anything or not, but for the first time ever, blogspot recognized my name from the fact I came from an email they sent me.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite was the alarmed door.
On the memory - or attention - thing, you're just practicing. By the time you're my age, you'll do well to remember your name.
I've had the problem on my own blog with Blogspot not taking my comment. I'm glad you didn't have any trouble this time.
DeleteYeah. I don't want to think what I'll be like when I'm 70 or 80. :P
The ballet dog made me giggle the most but I give an honorary mention to the snake for reminding me of Disney's Robin Hood.
ReplyDeleteThat's what it reminded me of! You nailed it. I couldn't place it, but it did spark something in my memory. That might be why I liked it so much!
DeleteSeveral made me laugh, but the ballet dog was my favorite.
ReplyDeleteOkay, I don't get it. People are lying about using no filter, pretending to be better photographers than they really are, when they post their Instagram photos? Part of me says what kind of idiot finds it necessary to lie about something so minor. The other part of me says, what kind of idiot feels its necessary to call out something so minor and insignificant. Yeah, I suppose it's lying, but I guess I've got better things to worry about. :)
For the record I'm not a filter user. Too lazy to go through the extra work. :)
I know! It's all just crazy. This week I've learned about the #nomakeup hashtag, and it's ridiculous, because at least some of them have at least some makeup on. And then that there's a whole website dedicated to making sure everyone knows who is lying about a filter? The internet can be a scary, mean place.
DeleteLove the king cobra! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Diane! It's sure cute. :)
DeleteI don't have a smart phone or any interest in selfies, filtered or otherwise. People really have too much time on their hands.
ReplyDeleteLoved the snake, and the giant chihuahua-eating lizard (Yikes!), but the Ballet Dog gets my vote. :)
I think you are right, Lexa. People do seem to do some weird things in their downtime.
DeleteI like the alarmed door the best :)
ReplyDeleteThose alarmed door jokes always make me laugh. Maybe because I have a close relationship with anxiety? :D
