Hello and happy Friday to one and all!
Well, it happened. I went back to work yesterday - a new school year has begun. I have to admit I kind of wasted the summer as far as writing time is concerned. I'm trying to decide if I should beat myself up about it or just let it go. Mental flaggelation is probably not helpful, so I guess I should let it go. If anyone has any tips for how to do that, please tell me in the comments. I'm not very good at it.
Last week's funniest photo winner was:
And now for this week's photos!
Elevators are so faithful like that. |
It's the cat's expression. Are cats reincarnated humans? |
This looks sooooo bad. |
Aargh! I want to fix it. Please, let me fix it!!! Cruelty - pure cruelty. |
The caption was "The floor has a sad." |
The pun for the week...
We have lots of windfarms, and it's so cool to drive by these windmills. |
And a little something for any science geeks.
I have to go with the corgi sad face.
ReplyDeleteAll right! I can't believe they got the picture before the floor warmed up!
DeleteHappy anniversary! And, no, don't beat yourself up over not writing. Not all writing involves words on paper anyway. Sometimes writing is THINKING about our stories. :))
ReplyDeleteAlso, I'm partial to pugs. :)
And this one is so cute! I did do a lot of thinking... :D
DeleteI like the lemur and the cat one.
ReplyDeleteNo need to mentally self-flagellate. Nothing wrong with taking the summer off. You work the rest of the year, so you need a break from that too. Now if you were a full-time writer with no other job, then I would say, bad Lara, but since you're not... :)
Happy Anniversary. (And shush, few times I've done the same thing w/our anniversary date.)
Whew, thank goodness I'm not a full-time writer! :)
DeleteRory liked the Lemur the best. I love it's face. Who says animals don't have expressions? They must not have been looking too closely.
The gorilla.
ReplyDeleteHappy anniversary.
I agree with Suzi and LG. Anyone who teaches full time, raises kids, runs a household and edits my books deserves some time off. Go take a nap.
Thanks, David. Doesn't that gorilla picture just make you shudder? I think it has to be photoshopped, otherwise I'm pretty sure we would have heard something about a tourist being torn apart!
DeleteCongrats on your anniversary! I hope you and your husband do something special.
ReplyDeleteI like the same one as you do this week: Move-it. Move-it. :-)
Thanks! I'm glad I'm in good company this week. :)
DeletePug in a blanket ... or sad floor is sad. Agh! Can't decide!
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
I love it when there are enough good pictures that it's hard to choose. I feel like I did something right!
