Happy Friday to one and all! I hope the week treated you well, and the weekend treats you even better!
We have a miller moth infestation of huge proportions going on in my town. It's absolutely disgusting how many there are. I killed at least 50 today, through insecticide and the trusty old fly-swatter, but they just keep coming. This is the second wave, too. We had about a week where there were none, and then they hit with a vengeance the other day.
This weeks funny photos were kind of lean. I did the best I could, but if you don't find any very funny, I apologize in advance. Apparently people are out enjoying the lovely weather and not writing silly captions on pictures of animals.
Last week's winner for funniest photo was:
And here are this week's!
That's a rough looking cat. |
It's an honest mistake. No? Okay. :) |
Children's literary reference. What can I say. |
A true Downward Facing Dog. |
And not just one pun, but two!
I hope you could find at least one that made you laugh. Hopefully next week there will be more to choose from.
My favorite is Edgar Allen Pooh. Did you find a favorite?
What bug do you hate worst in the summer?
Dog and raccoon.
ReplyDeleteSounds good! ;)
DeleteThe dog yoga is pretty impressive and the chemist pun made me smile. I hope you are enjoying your summer, despite the bugs. I hate ticks, no matter what time of year. Ugh.
ReplyDeleteYes, ticks. When I lived in Nebraska they were everywhere (we lived in the country) and my sister and I would have to pick them off the dogs. It was awful.
DeleteSeveral of them made me laugh. Can't pick a favorite. But the first picture makes me think of something I have to ask you about.
ReplyDeleteThe city I live in has a state university here and their nickname is the Bison. The last two years their football team has been in the national championship game, which is played in cities down south. During the games, the ESPN announcers kept calling them the Bi-sun. And we do not call them that, we pronounce it Bi-zun, which is what we call the animal too, with a Z.
There was just an article in our local paper about how it appears that most of the country calls them bi-sun and we and our bi-zun are a regional thing.
So I'm curious, since you have bison in your state, do you pronounce it bi-sun or bi-zun?
In Texas they're bi-sun.
DeleteYeah, bi-sun. :) I'm so glad the photos were funny. Maybe I was in a less than humorous mood when I put the post together.
DeleteI loved the kitten-racoon. :D And they were all funny. Your miller moth infestation has piqued my curiosity--photos? :P I dreamt about spiders invading my home last night; a few ugly little ones at first, then other types progressing in size until a 3 footer with lobster claws was the main problem. Maybe he would enjoy eating miller moths? Don't even ask what I think it all means--I can't begin to imagine.
ReplyDeleteLoving the yoga dog!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it cute!
DeleteThe squirrel is how I feel this week!
ReplyDeleteMe, too. And then today we had a nice, cool day. I really like spring and fall the best. The heat extremes of winter and summer are just not my thing.
DeleteCoon/kitteh wins for me, but the sofa buffalo is cute too :)
ReplyDeleteI can't put my finger on why the sofa bison makes me laugh, but it does.
DeleteI think the sofa bison. (Not bizun)
ReplyDeleteYou're in with the crowd again this week, David! How did that happen twice in a row? ;)
DeleteSofa bison for me. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteI think sofa bison is in the lead!
DeleteI love the squirrel. I'm partial to them, probably because I frequently go nuts... Anyway, I'm battling the moths here on Windy Hill in Cheyenne. They hide out in my potted plants on the porch and in my bushes around the house. I'll be so glad when they GO AWAY!
ReplyDeleteMe, too, Cindy. It's been a bad miller-moth year, for sure.
DeleteWho knew Pooh Bear had an evil twin? And what is that dog doing with a raccoon? Both the dog-germ sufferer and Sofa Bison killed me.
ReplyDeleteI choose Sofa Bison. You totally rock, Lara!! :-)
Isn't that Pooh Bear so cute! I loved the little mustache. :)
DeleteSofa Bison does look like a bison...awesome :)
ReplyDeleteI think sofa bison might win. :)
DeleteHuzzah :)
DeleteWhat are miller moths? Sounds icky. I hope you had a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteIcky - yes, that's a good word for the nasty, little flying vermin. :)
DeleteNow I understand why chemists have such a reaction to each other :)
ReplyDeleteHappy what's left of the weekend:)
