Funny Feline Friday

Here it is, almost Friday again!  What good news!  Weekends mean editing for me, so I'm excited to see how many pages I can get through before Monday.  Even better, I don't work next week, either.  More time for editing!

Humor is a great way to relieve stress, and inspire creativity.  For some reason, cat photos are particularly funny to me.  I think they must have more expression muscles than dogs. I'm not able to give credit to whoever assembled the photos below, but I have to assume that, since I received them in an e-mail, they are public domain.  I hope you enjoy them, because I picked out the ones that cracked me up the most.

Before I get to the cat pictures, though, I have to share one that reminds me of my children.

And now, the main event!

What are you up to this weekend?

  1. LOL. And I'm not a big cat person. That first bird one reminds me of my older brother when we were younger. I heard that quite a few times.

    1. My children have been being very brotherly lately. :) I think I was the one doing the "I'm not touching you," being the irritating little sister I was!

not much for me this weekend. Making plans, painting a room, stuff like that. Most importantly trying to find ways to relax. :)

  8. Too funny! I'm a total sucker for cat pictures too! I'm with ya, don't know why they're so funny, but they get me every time! That one with the birds is perfect too! So glad my kids can't flap their arms that fast in each other's faces :) Have a great weekend Lara!

  12. Oh, so funny! The line in my house is, "Don't harass the cat!" Now when I ask my children what they're doing, they respond, "Harassing the cat." Even my three-year-old says it.
    My poor kitty.
Have fun editing! Your enthusiasm for it is inspiring. I'm not quite as chipper as you are. :)

    1. I think I'm only chipper because I put it off for so long, I've gotten a "must finish!" thing going on! That's funny about your children. We have four dogs, and they got the brunt of my children's attention when they were little. I always worried they might bite them, but they were good, amazingly patient dogs. :)

    1. Thanks! I think I'll share the rest of the photos, non-kitty though, next Friday. They were funny too, but I really laughed at the kitty ones.

  17. Speaking as a Feline...Cats DO have more expression muscles than dogs.....

    Just sayin' is all.

    Have a good day! :-D

  18. I think cat photos are really funny as well, though I think it's because cat's have an uncanny ability to make anyone feel inconsequential just by staring. So when you get to laugh at them it's a sort of payback... And they have really expressive faces.

Our coton de tulear has her moments. She'll be sleeping quietly then suddenly jump up and start biting her haunch or start barking madly at the poor neighbour who's walking in the corridor. Alert dogs...
