Funny Friday Photos: Appalled Cats

Happy Friday!

I hope you all had an awesome week!

My week started with deciding to be a stay-at-home mom/wife/writer for a while, unless the perfect job shows up. Maybe something like this one:

I could definitely roar and rapidly claw at people in angry velociraptor style for $15 an hour.

The thing about staying at home and pretending to be a successful writer is that I won't have a paycheck coming in. I've been working since I was fifteen years old, so it feels very weird to not be able to count on my own paycheck.

I will admit, though, I'm loving writing for several hours each morning. I've figured out a solution to some structural issues at the first part of Through the Fairy Ring. I've reverse-outlined about the first quarter of the story. Hopefully there won't be the need for more structural overhaul, and the rest of the outlining will go more quickly. Then I can go back and start rewriting. I get to pretend to be a successful writer for as long as my savings holds out, so I am going to start pinching pennies to get as much time as possible!

We didn't really have a winner for funniest photo last week, so we'll get right to the new ones.

And lately my phone battery dies really fast.

I'd say Irvine wins.

Also known as the WTF face.

The optimistic elevator.

Now I'm going to have to check out our library to see if we have any rude books.

Am I the only one who has thought this every time they hear a dog is a Whippet?
My favorite today is the appalled cat.

What was your favorite?
Have a great weekend!

  1. F You!

No, not you, the library thing.

  2. Oh the Devo hat got us both! Hey, I'm about to switch back to Vancouver. Wonder if that job is still I can Velocirapter with the best of them! But right now I have to get back to the garage build here in OXON for which we need at least three more days and we have two. I need that optimistic elevator. :D

  3. F You, that's funny. I'm sure they're in libraries all over the place.

I've never had that thought go through my head when I see a Whippet--which I admit isn't all that often. It probably will happen now, thanks to you. :)

Enjoy your non-working time and get lots done!

  4. Ahahaha, I like the rude books and the cats. Can't ever get enough funny cats. :)

  5. Enjoy your time at home! I got to be a stay-at-home mom for a few years in the 90s while my kids were little. I got to spend several hours writing while they were at school. Definitely a nice feeling to get to do that.

  6. Sorry, but the weather map trumped the animals this time.

  7. There are all kinds of things you can do to save money, like using coupons and buying in bulk, also buying some generic things like pasta, where you can't really tell the difference. I skimp on everything except cigarettes (I know, I'm bad) and internet connections. I retired early, about 7 years ago, with enough money in the bank to see me through. I didn't count on inflation and that everything costs way more than I budgeted for 7 years ago. Good luck pinching pennies and staying a full time writer for a while. I love it!

Very funny pics! I especially liked the rude library, the whippets, and the cat with the funny look on his face. My vote goes to "Nature calls" because I'm a sucker for toilet humor! LOL
