Funny Friday Photos: Jack O' Lanterns on Meth

Happy Friday
and
Happy Halloween!

I hope the week treated you kindly.

I'd love to chat, but I can't think of anything to say... My page views have severely dropped over the last couple weeks and I have to wonder if that's because I'm boring. Or maybe there's something different about the way Google Analytics is calculating it's page views. Maybe?

I still enjoy funny photos, though, so here is this week's offering for those of you who are sticking with me!

My life is full of Minecraft and Pokemon, so the different evolutions of Charmander (to Charmeleon and then to Charizard) as cup sizes tickled my funny bone.
He happens to be one of my favorite Pokemon.

Peekaboo!

Why would anyone think this was a good idea?

Totally captures the feeling.

This pun is doubling as a funny animal caption this week.

And in my head I hear "Sixty-nine, Dude!!" from Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure.

Doesn't everyone have a skeleton in their closet?

I love Grinny Pig. He makes me happy.

Which do you like?

PS: Be careful tonight. There are more alcohol related car accidents on Halloween when it falls on a Friday than when it's on any other day of the week. Also, pedestrian deaths are higher on Halloween than usual. So, don't drink and drive, be wary of those who do, and watch out for trick-or-treaters in your neighborhoods.

Funny Friday Photos: Don't Hold Your Breath!

Anybody feel like this?

It's so dejected!

But then...

And it's all better.

This Saturday (10/25/14) I'm excited to participate in a twitter chat with Sarah LaFleur, book blogger and author of the teen paranormal romance, Who Is Evelyn Dae?. We'll be starting at 2:00pm PST, 3:00pm MST, 4:00pm CST, and 5:00pm EST, and be talking writing, Finding Meara, possibly Book 2, and anything else that catches our attention. It would be great if you could come and join us!

Last week's funniest photo was:

And here is this week's offering!

Stalker behavior in the animal kingdom.

Lamp is my friend.

Yes, yes it is.

So very much how I feel at about 20 seconds. I don't know how
people hold their breath for several minutes. (Record time is 22 minutes!)

Puns!

Also known as Barium.

All righty! I hope you all have a great weekend!

My favorite is the fish holding its breath.

Funny Friday Photos: The Deer Lash Out

Happy Friday!
I'm a little early, but hey... It's Friday somewhere right now.

Last weekend my husband, kids and I found the Bat Cave!
It's in the Flat Irons of Boulder, Colorado.
Who knew.

Seriously, though, last weekend we hiked to what must have been near the top of one of the Flat Irons in Boulder, Colorado, where there is a protected cave of bats. If you look at the picture of me, I'm facing the bat cave, and to my left you can see a mountain climber. He took the more vertical route. We took the switchback trail, but ended up at about the same altitude. We did get to climb a 25 foot crevice at the end, so that was super-fun, and the fall foliage was amazing.

Last week's funniest photo was:

Here's the new ones!

Totally captures the elation of hearing your favorite song on the radio.

I always root for the animals during hunting season.

The statue beside the cat looks like it's asking "What are you doing?" Or maybe it's just me.

I'd stay out of the water...

On those days when nothing seems to go right.
And puns!

There's a monster under the bed!

I'm a drummer and can't read music, but still enjoy some good music humor.

It's the rhyme that makes me laugh.

I think my favorite photo this week is the taunting deer.

Have a relaxing weekend and great next week!

Funny Friday Photos: Deny Thy Father and Refuse Thy Name

Happy Friday!

I hope everyone had a relatively painless week, and is ready for an excellent weekend!

I have to admit, last weekend was a lot of fun. We started out with some family archery on Friday night. Then, on Saturday/Sunday, a Twitter friend, @DrWellsatESU, and I started a Shakespeare quote game for Twitter, and lots of people liked it. It's called #ShakesTag and here's the rules (and I apologize for the typo in line two. I didn't have time to correct it.)

Who knows if anyone will play this Shakespeare Sunday, but it's really designed to be played at any time, so if anyone is interested, tag me and I'll play with you! (The quotes get passed back and forth if only two people play.)

Everyone enjoyed a different photo last weekend, so we'll just move on to the new photos.

Look closely for the cat.

I don't know what I've been doing at night, but when I wake up my hair looks like I stuck my finger in an electrical socket.

Isn't it beautiful?

A contribution by my writer-friend, David Walker.

And some puns...

Nunchuks!

My favorite was the Romeo and Juliet dog and fish. Carpulet cracks me up.

What's your favorite?
Any great weekend plans you want to share?

Funny Photos: What's In Your Refrigerator?

Yes, yes it is!! (Thank goodness.)

What a week.

Some days I can't imagine not being a social worker, and other days I wish I'd sell a gazillion books so I could stay at home and write. Of course, that means I'd have to actually market Finding Meara, which means yet another thing to squash into each day or week.

And I've figured out optimism makes me think I can do everything and write a thousand words a day, too. I think I'm going to stop sharing hopes and goals for word count because it feels icky to keep failing at it. If you're waiting for book two, just know I'm doing my best to get it finished, I promise.

Last week's funniest photo was a three-way tie, so I guess we should just move on...

Sassy cheerleader dog.

I think there are no bones left inside the cat.

I'm sad to admit this is what happens to zucchini in my refrigerator.

I haven't used this before, have I?

A very earnest sheep.

I'm afraid this is what winter is going to be like.

Puns!

I think I have a thing for Sesame Street.

Totally what bitter coffee would sound like.

All righty! I hope we all have a relaxing and happy weekend. I'm sure we all deserve it.

My favorite is the refrigerator experiment, followed up by the horrified mixer.

What's your favorite?
