Funny Friday Photos

Tomorrow is Friday, but it's only the second day of work for me! The snow storm kept me home two of the three days. I must say, working two days a week would be heaven. The cut in pay? Not so much. Guess I'm stuck for a while longer.

I am finding myself to be in a weird limbo with writing, since releasing Finding Meara. Is this normal, I am wondering? (Yoda! I'm channeling Yoda!) Seriously, though, I can't seem to get myself organized. I have all this time, and I spend it messing around on Facebook. I think about writing on the second book (which I have a rough outline already planned) and I feel Resistance with a capital "R." Maybe I should read the War of Art again. The thing is, it feels like a huge empty space in my head. I don't really feel anything - not fear, not anxiety. It's just nothing. Very, very weird. Anyone else ever experience something like this?

Well, instead of worrying about my lack of productivity, (if you were...), lets get a laugh on! Last week's funniest photo was:

And now some new photos for your funny-bone's enjoyment!

If you look a little further down, I like "Fever 102, Wheezing, Irritable."
Is the person irritable or the symptom?

My favorite this week is the WTF is wrong with my legs. Once I figured it out, I couldn't stop laughing!

Did you have a favorite?

  1. I think putting a book out into the world sucks the life from most writers. I know I quit writing for five months after my last book got finished. It's just too much of a drain.

  2. I have to go with Bad Hare Day. LOLed on it. :-) Glad you got them up after all, Lara!

  3. Thanks, Michael! I'm glad to know I'm normal. I do feel kind of like a podling in the Dark Crystal after the skesis (? on spelling) suck the life force out of them!

Thanks, Joe and Melanie for voting. Your picks were close runners for my favorite, too.

I'm glad, too, Vaughn! I shouldn't have Facebooked about the issue until I was sure it wasn't going to work. I think I created a lot of confusion...

  4. I love the bird with the leg problem. I have the same problem you do with finishing a book. I'm glad to have it finished up and on its way, but then I go into panic mode thinking about the next one. Who are the new characters and what should I have them do? There are a million plot ideas out there, but I freeze up and can't think of a damn thing to do for the next one. I try to give myself a break of a month or so to rest my brain. I think it's absolutely needed to clear all the plots and characters from the previous book out of the overloaded cells. Only then can I allow myself to think about yet another plot, more characters, and what they want and need. It's a hellish process, but necessary.

    1. I'm trying to give myself some rest time, but I feel freaked out over not writing! I'm glad I'm not the only one with book overload. :)

  5. Sounds like maybe you just need a little bit of a break. I would think getting your book out there took a huge amount of effort, so it would only be natural that the batteries might need some recharging.

This week's pictures present some tough choices. Maybe the bird experiencing the strange leg distortion. Maybe the Final Frontier. Maybe the rabbit.

    1. Thanks, Mike, for the kind words. It seems like I'm starting to warm up to the idea of starting something new. At least I'm feeling itchy to write something, if not the next novel, then a short story of sorts.

I like "strange leg distortion!" Very appropriate verbiage!
