Funny Friday Photos

Happy Friday! I hope everyone had a lovely New Years. My entire past two weeks has been a lot of social media creation, editing, and family time. I have a lot of family memories, a new website, Goodreads Author page, and a brand-spankin' new Facebook Fan Page now. If you'd like to see my Facebook page, just click the link!

We won't discuss the editing, although I've gotten a lot done on it. I just have so much more to do. Thank God for wonderful critiquers who catch all my errors!

Another huge thanks to the many fabulous friends who visited and/or liked any and all social media pages. I have a history of having parties no one comes to, and so I made all these social media sites with much fear and trepidation. It means more to me than anyone can know that people are willing to click that little button and be a part of my writing community.

I neglected to pick a winner for Briane Pagle's book, Up So Down and plan to fix that right now! Diane Carlisle is our winner. Yay! I'll be getting in contact with you this weekend about claiming your prize. On to the photos!

Last week's winner is - Dog Threat!

Here's the new ones!

Our cocker spaniel used to look like that in winter.

There is something ominous about deer. Bambi they are not.

Arrrgh.

That's small compared to the spiders I saw in Costa Rica. The Amazon grows things BIG!

Not quite as cute as John Cusak. Oh, okay. Cuter. :)

This is practically blasphemous, but it really cracked me up!

I think my favorite this week is the snowball dog.
Which is yours? What's up for you this weekend?

  2. Yeah, gotta go with the snowdog. That's just adorable.

  3. I like the snowball dog too. That's happened with ours a few times, when the snow is just right and she clomps through it.And then you have to towel them off or wipe up the melting snow on the floor. :)

Last week's winner is too funny. Got a great laugh out of it again.

  4. I'm a Tolkien nut, so I have to go with the Harry Potter crossover. *g*

  5. @Suzanne - I'm glad I live in a place that spiders don't get that big. Of course, nothing else grows very well, either. :)

@Luanne & Suzi - I love the snowballs for paws the most!

@Joe - :) Have you seen deer attacking other animals? I think that might be why they kind of scare me.

@Sharron - It's such an unexpected connection - at least for me!

  6. As usual, I love them all and got a really good chuckle out of seeing the scared dog all over again. That one is a keeper. I have to pick snow-crusted dog b/c it reminds me of when our Irish Setter was a puppy; she stopped mid-walk b/c her paws were completely iced up. My hubby carried her four-month self home and I still laugh over the day the dog walked Mike. The relationship didn't change much after that, either. lol. She was a strong-willed but lovable gal and we miss her dearly.

    1. I love the scared dog! Taken was on the TV last night (I found it too late to watch it) but when I saw Liam Neeson, the scared dog popped right to mind. It was funny!

How sweet of your husband! We had an Irish Setter when I was little, and ended up having to give her away. About a year later we went to a person's house for some reason - and guess who had adopted her. And Brandy remembered my Mom! It was the strangest coincidence. Dogs wind their ways into our hearts, huh?

  10. Congrats on your new website and FaceBook page and everything, Lara :) I think treasure cat is the best this week, although they're all great, as usual.

    1. And thanks for liking my Facebook page, Mike! :) I hope things are going well for you. Have you started classes yet?

    2. I've been quite well, thanks. How have you been? School doesn't actually start until next week. This time will be 13 hours instead of 9, with an evening class once a week.

    3. That sounds stressful! Are they hard classes? Rest up this week, for sure.

    4. Well, Trigonometry and Biology I should keep me on my toes, but Texas Government and Art Appreciation should hopefully balance things out. I find it amazing that there's apparently an entire mathematical discipline revolving around the triangle. I hope it doesn't sour me on the concept of pizza ;)

    5. Eew - Government. Not one of my favorite classes. :) Maybe you can eat pizza while you're studying and it'll make your trigonometry class better?

    6. I just might have to give that a shot...because pizza :)
